BECO Capital is one of the first and largest early-stage VC firms in the UAE, with a focus on MENA and beyond. They have a proven track record of investing in some of the region’s most successful funds. However, their existing brand elements were out of date and no longer reflecting their impact in the region and worldwide. They needed a brand refresh that would align with their vision, values and goals.

Uptick.Studio’s Diagnosis of BECO Capital’s Brand
We started by conducting a strategic needs assessment to understand BECO’s current situation, challenges and opportunities. We analyzed their market positioning, target audience, competitors and stakeholders. We also reviewed their existing brand assets, such as logo, website, social media profiles and pitch deck. Through this work we identified several areas for improvement.
A Strategic refreshment
Based on our diagnosis, we developed a brand strategy that would address these issues and create a more compelling brand identity for BECO.
We began with a thorough strategy session that helped us understand the company’s goals, values, and target audience. From there, we conducted a comprehensive audit of their existing brand assets, including their logo, color palette, and typography. Based on our findings, we created a detailed creative brief that outlined our recommendations for a brand refresh.
Reinventing a Venture Capital Brand
With our strategy in place, we moved on to production. We created a brand manual that outlines all the new brand elements and how to use them across different channels and formats. We also produced various creative assets that demonstrate how the new brand identity can be applied in practice.
